Simple Synthetic Scenarios for Sumo (SSS4S)
Simple Synthetic Scenarios for Sumo (SSS4S) can generate variants of different standard simulation scenarios resulting from a literature study. This study analyzed conferences and journals from the field of Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication and includes the years 2017 to 2019.
Scenarios include consecutive intersections, highways, and different grid network scenarios. In addition, SSS4S configures a set of desired parameterizations, e.g., number of lanes, length of the roads, the direction of roads, or polygons, which are used often in road traffic simulation studies It also allows to create traffic lights or enables the generation of road traffic using the build-in SUMO scripts.
With SSS4S, we provide a reference implementation for SUMO as a first proposal to optimize reproducibility, comprehensibility, and comparability in scientific publications that are based road traffic simulations.
